This hang glider is a neat variation on the paper airplane. Instead of throwing it, you let it slip off your fingers. It swoops to the ground in a smooth, very gentle arc. A must-have for any fans of flying machines.

Paper helicopter
"They have five million dollars invested in this aircraft. They don't wanna see it totaled."
-from the movie Blue Thunder, 1983
OK, so this origami helicopter has about five cents invested in it. It doesn't look like much, but is designed to fly down gently to the ground. It is also very simple to construct.

Tiger by the Tail
There was a smiling lady from Niger
Who rode an origami tiger
They came back from a ride
With the lady inside
And the smile on the face of the tiger!
-with apologies to Edward Lear
